It is typically crafted with a super heavy silk satin base, which, after undergoing 36 processes of plant dyeing and mud coating, transforms into a material that feels like very soft, silky, and lightweight suede leather. Yes, PIZI is exceptionally expensive.
Gambiered Canton Silk (Mud Silk)
Gambiered Canton Silk, also known as Mud Silk, is a traditional and unique silk fabric exclusively produced in Shunde, Guangdong. The eco-friendly silk fabric is dyed with plant dyes then coated with local mud, requiring months to produce. Each production is unique and limited in 10-15 meters. Due to the handmade process, the fabric naturally features some black spots, white or brown marks, color stains, especially on the backside, as well as small holes, color differences, and scratches along the 5 cm fabric edges.
This special silk fabric is durable and easy to sew, making it an ideal material for Autumn/Winter garments. It offers simple washing, is anti-wrinkle, and easy to care for.

Washing Guide
Dry Clean : Best and highly recommended.
Hand Wash : Use silk detergent or hair shampoo in lukewarm water for less than 5 minutes.
Avoid : No soap, no bleach, no tumble dry.
Washing Machine : Use the most gentle mode. However, hand washing is preferred as Mud Silk can be easily cleaned in just 5 minutes.
Note : Inevitable color fading may occur during washing due to the natural plant dye and lack of chemical treatments.
