My personal journey with silk began long before our story unfolded. Growing up in a family that cherished the beauty and benefits of silk, I developed a deep appreciation for this luxurious fabric. However, it was a twist of fate, in the form of textile fiber allergies, that truly illuminated its value. Desperate for relief, I consulted a doctor who suggested swapping cotton, linen, and other dust-prone textiles for silk.
To my amazement, silk not only alleviated my allergies but also revealed a host of additional advantages. This natural protein fiber turned out to be hypoallergenic, with the added benefits of regulating body temperature and keeping my skin hydrated.
Inspired by this personal revelation and fueled by my passion for silk, I embarked on a mission to share its wonders with the world. That's when my journey, and subsequently, this venture, began. In 2011, I opened my Etsy store, "Crose Fabrics," to share beautiful silk fabrics as a part-time endeavor. By 2014, my closest friend and I made a joint decision to fully dedicate ourselves to Crose Fabrics.
Towards the end of 2019, we found a new partner—a master craftsman with 20 years of experience in silk sewing. This partnership led us to explore the world of silk bedding. After experiencing and testing our silk bedding, we launched another Etsy store, "Crose Silk," in early 2020, exclusively dedicated to silk bedding.
In 2022, we attempted to consolidate both of our stores into our official website, resulting in the creation of crosesilk.com. We chose not to hire professional web designers because we wanted to be hands-on throughout the process. If you find our website looks unconventional or lacks a professional polish, please don't let that deter you.
